Do you see what kitty sees?

I think there's something special about paint as a form of expression - be it digital or "real." Paint quietly offers itself to everyone who sees it, allowing the viewer to explore at will. The surface may be beautiful, and can be appreciated without greater investment on the part of the viewer. But paint is not merely decorative. It is a form of language, should the viewer choose to look closely.

Abstract art may be the most expressive of all. At first glance, an abstract work may appear to be a random creation, and the viewer may dismiss it if he chooses. But for those who look a little deeper, who lend something of themselves and their imagination to the work, it becomes something more. A conversation, between the viewer, and the paint, and the absent artist who wielded it.

In this case, the artist is depicted in the moment of creation. Her contribution to the conversation takes shape as she works. The paint, her representative, takes this thought, translates it, and holds it in place for you to see. And you bring yourself to this place, seeing only her representative. Can you see her message? Can you find one of your own?
